Instructions for presenters*
* Please make sure to check the instructions over time, as some of the indications may change.
Oral presentations
- Please send your presentation in both ppt and pdf formats by May 15th, 2026, at the following email address: scdna26@day-one.biz.
- Please prepare your presentation using the official conference template downloadable from here.
- You shall also bring a copy of your presentation to the conference on a USB stick as a backup.
- You shall arrive at the conference main stage 15 minutes prior to the first presentation of that session and make yourself known to the session Chair.
- You shall stay for the whole session – for your paper and the papers of other speakers in that session – in order to enable the delegates who wish to speak with you at the end of the session to be able to find you easily.
- Your presentation shall last 15 minutes. The Question & Answer sessions should not exceed 5 minutes. In the interest of fairness, please make sure that your whole session does not exceed 20 minutes. The Chair will time your presentation and provide you with a 2-minute warning. Please keep a strict eye on the time during your presentation.
- Make every effort to hold your audience by maintaining eye contact, modulating your voice and employing a lively delivery.
- Speak loudly and clearly so that you can be heard by the audience.
- Humour is always appreciated to keep the audience interested, but please avoid jokes that might be offensive to the audience.
- You will be able to collect your certificate of presentation at the welcome after your presentation.
Posters
- The poster should be prepared in A0 format (84,1 x 118,9 cm).
- The poster must include information such as: title, authors and affiliations, introduction/objectives, methods, results, conclusions, references/acknowledgments, contact info or QR code.
- Use large readable fonts and prefer visuals (charts, figures, diagrams) over dense text.
- The presenter is responsible for printing the poster. Upon arrival at the conference venue, please bring your poster (in a tube or folded fabric version) at the welcome desk, where you will be assigned to a poster board number.
- As a back-up, please bring the poster in pdf format with you, wether in a USB key or in your laptop.
- The poster session will take place on the afternoon of May28th. Posters will be anyways kept on display throughout the entire duration of the conference.
- Don’t forget to bring business cards or handouts; you will be provided with velcro or double sided tape, but please bring also some tape on your own – just in case.
- Please follow the instructions of the welcome desk for the setup and dismounting of your poster; posters left behind may be discarded.
- During the poster session, please be present at your poster during the assigned session time; prepare a 2–3 minute summary and a longer explanation if asked. Engage visitors, answer questions, and discuss your work. Network with researchers, students, and industry attendees.
- During the poster session, wear conference badge, be approachable and professional, avoid blocking neighboring posters and respect time and space of other presenters.
- If needed, there is a copy shop near the conference venue where you can print your posters; this process is the responsibility of the presenter, not the SCDNA26 organizers.
